Opening day bracketology

The wait is finally over. After almost seven months without games, opening day and night of college basketball are here. This has been a highly-anticipated season, which has been overwhelmed by the items off the court in the past few weeks with what happened at Louisville, UCLA, and other schools across the country.

But the real games are finally here. My name is Joe, and this is my fourth year doing bracketology. I am a College of Charleston alum who is an avid basketball fan in the Charleston, SC area. I frequently attend games from the CAA, SoCon, and Big South, and other conferences as well. I was also part of The Mid-Majority, the former mid-major college basketball website edited by Kyle Whelliston.

I will start with my first post today, then my next post will be the Monday before Thanksgiving (11/20). I will go on a once a week schedule for the rest of November and into December, before expanding to twice a week later in December. When we get to January, I will be doing an actual bracket for every post. For now, I will do seed lists. I will do NCAA and NIT teams here.

Here we go:

1- Villanova (Big East), Duke (ACC), Arizona (Pac-12), Michigan State (B1G)

2- Wichita State (American), Kentucky (SEC), Kansas (Big 12), West Virginia

12- UTA (Sun Belt), Oakland (Horizon), Charleston (CAA), Middle Tennessee (C-USA)

13- Bucknell (Patriot), FGCU (A-Sun), Vermont (America East), Harvard (Ivy)
